I’m a developer based in Xanthi, Greece. I build software, automation and websites for small and mid-sized businesses and professional offices. My clients are mostly accounting and technical firms, medical practices and commercial businesses. I also work as a subcontractor for agencies, and I take on the digital deliverables of research projects. I’ve been doing this since 2018.
What I’ve done so far
Since 2018 I’ve worked as a freelancer with small and mid-sized businesses: websites, e-commerce, applications, ERP integrations, data collection and analysis.
Alongside that, I spent six years in research environments. At the Athena Research Center in Xanthi, I designed information systems for research and cultural heritage: digital repositories for archaeological data that host thousands of records today, and a virtual museum application.
At Coburg University in Germany, I spent three and a half years working on AI systems for education: an assistant that answers questions with sourced references from real lectures, automatic segmentation of video lectures into topic sections, and the search and retrieval infrastructure that keeps them running.
I hold a Master’s in Information Retrieval from the Democritus University of Thrace and a Bachelor’s in Computer Science from the Hellenic Open University. I speak Greek, Italian and English.
I’m writing this for a practical reason. When I say I can put AI into one of your processes, I don’t mean wiring up an off-the-shelf chatbot. I mean I’ve built these systems from scratch, and I know where they fail.
How I work
The person you talk to is the same person who builds the tool, and the same person who picks up the phone when something’s needed.
We start with a short conversation about how you work today. You don’t need to know what you want in technical terms. It’s enough to show me what’s costing you time.
Then I send you, in writing, what I’ll build, with a fixed price and delivery date. The price doesn’t change along the way. If something comes up that we hadn’t agreed on, I tell you before doing it and you decide.
I usually reply the same day. If something breaks after delivery, I look at it first.
You’re never locked in. Your data, accounts and credentials are yours, and they’re handed over to you. If you ever want to continue with someone else, they’ll find everything in its place.
I stay on for maintenance, because a tool nobody looks after eventually breaks.
And so we don’t waste time: I don’t do ad campaigns or brand identity design. If what you need is somewhere else, I’ll tell you and point you to someone who does it.
Availability
Based in Xanthi, in Northern Greece. I work remotely with clients anywhere, in English or Greek, and I’m set up for asynchronous collaboration across time zones.
